Emirati Burqa Making Workshop

In this workshop, participants will learn about the Emirati burqa and its importance, as an adornment that reflects the identity of the Emirati woman specifically. Participants will learn about the various parts of the burqa, in order for them to explore and handle the basics of burqa cutting and sewing, using the authentic materials from which a burqa is typically made from.
Participants will make different designs of the burqa in any shape or form they desire. They will get to wear and take photos with their own burqas, allowing them to understand the other side of this iconic mask.
